I hate the fact that my computer hasn’t been working for over a week, two if we count the previous week I spent trying to get rid of the spyware and trojans. And I hate that my site hasn’t been working for the last 10 minutes when I’m trying to fix the join form on my John Lennon fanlisting. Which is no longer approved by TFL but oh well. I’ve just got so much other shit going on right now, it’s not really a big thing. Oooh now the site’s working again. Stupid thing…

And now I can look forward to upgrading Wordpress and Enthusiast again when my computer is working. Joy.

Man, I’m loving wordpress plugins at the moment. They’ve made this stuffs so easy peasy now.

Travis was a really good guy. We had a lot of fun in Algebra class. Twelve years is not long enough.

It’s been less than 24 hours since Wordpress 2.0.6 was released and I’ve upgrade! Shocking isn’t it? And it was so easy! Since I got my mood and song stuff fixed up using a couple plugins earlier it was eazy-peazy to upgrade. Woo!

I’m finally upgrading Enthusiast 3.0 to 3.1 and switching my fanbase-ish code list to PHP Codesort. It’s a bit slow going simply because it’s repetitive and I’m getting bored out of my mind. I’m only halfway done but it’s almost midnight so screw it! It can wait til tomorrow. I realize that several fansites, no matter their small size, need a new look. Namely, Sunday Feast and One. Foxey, Muppet Love, and Permission Granted need one too but not as badly. I still like all the other layouts too much to change them

I just read a very beautiful, very sad Legolas/Gimli story. Why was it sad? Because Gimli died on the way to Valinor which he probably did in the books, Tolkien just didn’t want to give us more bad news. Which was nice of him. It allowed for us to have hope that just maybe someone had a happy ending.

But alas, that just has me blue for the night. I’ve been meaning to post about Foxtrot and my sadness over that. Yes I know he’s not quitting the strip but the dailies is pretty close to! Even if he comes back to the dailies in a couple years, I know that ultimately it will end and I’ll never get any new Jason’s-a-total-geek situations. I’ve been reading it for half my life. 13-14 years. Calvin and Hobbes ended when I was fairly young, I have still never read allll the Bloom County books, and I gave up on Garfield a decade ago. I don’t even remember when The Far Side ended.

It’s just never happened to me with a comic strip. TV shows and bands and books and the like don’t usually go on for 19 years so I should be allowed not to be used to it. Right?

The Simpsons better bloody well give us 3 more years. It’ll take that long to steel myself.
