Joe Madureira ("mad-a-RARE-a") was for a time the most popular comic book artist in the industry. At age 16 he got an internship with Marvel comics and did a few full-length issues for Excalibur and Deadpool. In 1994, he signed up as the regular artist for Uncanny X-Men, the hottest Marvel title at the time. His work generated a lot of fans with his unique blend of Japanese and American comic art. After a few years he left UXM and started a new series called Battle Chasers. It took many years for all 9 issues to come out and Joe hasn't done much full-time work. Some covers for magazines, some work for Street Fighter and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But I'm still waiting for more as he's my favorite comic book artist of all time. In my opinion ^.~
A fanlisting is a webpage that lists the names (and their resident countries) of people who are a fan of a particular subject. So if you're a fan of Joe, join the fanlisting because I'd love to know there's still one more out there. For more info visit the fanlistings.org.
